Lukas Podolski was born on 4 June 1985 in Gliwice, Poland and currently plays for Köln and for the German national team as a striker. Quick, strong and with good shooting ability Lukas Podolski has quickly established himself as one of the best players in his generation. He can also play on the left side and become a major attacking threat. Together with his partner, Miroslav Klose they constitute a deadly attacking duo for the German National Team.
